Introduction to Self-Study

Access training on your schedule with our Guided Self-Study.

Our exam is domain based with an experiential component. Our Self-Study is based on the ten domain categories and related objectives for each business architecture certification exam domain. The domains remain consistent in every version update. Older content will still be useful to your studies. Feel free to search by keyword for additional resources to those listed in the Guided Self-Study.

How to use the Guided Self- Study

Look at the Overview for the learning objectives for each domain. Then proceed to complete the tasks provided in each Component. Study at your own pace based on your knowledge and experience. There is no requirement to complete all of the domains or all of the components in any one domain. The system tracks your progress so you can return at any time to pick up where you left off, no matter how much time has elapsed. The components' tasks remain accessible, even after you have completed them, so you can review them as often as you like and feel confident about your learning. Following our Guided Self-Study does not preclude you from Volunteering for teams and learning by doing, or signing up with one of our Guild Accredited Training Partners(GATP®) to advance your skills and knowledge. We also provide you with 2 readiness quizzes to help you determine if you should schedule your exam, or study a bit more.

Notes

  • The Action Plan for each domain is a downloadable document. You can pin it to your wall or upload it to any device you frequently use.
  • The current exam was introduced in 2020, which is why some of the component material is older. However, we encourage you to always use the latest version of the BIZBOK Guide® as the domain content is consistent.
  • We also encourage you to refer to our past Summit presentations for discussions and scenarios related to each domain.
